BBC Twitter Accounts Hacked by Syrian Electronic Army
Syrian Electronic Army is back with new big twitter account hacks, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Official Twitter accounts including BBCArabic, BBC Weather and BBC Radio Ulster have been hacked by Syrian Electronic Army in support of Syrian president Bashar ul Assad.
Syrian Electronic Army have been continuously hacking twitter accounts of high profile companies. Anatomy of attack on twitter account is not clear. It looks like Syrian Electronic Army found zero day on twitter or might be using some known method in a different way.
Hacked BBC Twitter Accounts:
- BBC Arabic Twitter account: @BBCArabicOnline
- BBC Weather Twitter account: @bbcweather
- BBC Radio Ulster Twitter account: @bbcradioulster
Reason of Hacking BBC account hacks explained by the hackers on the twitter account.
“reason for hacking BBC Network accounts on Twitter was in response to what BBC practiced of lies and fabrication of news and in addition to the bias to the bloody opposition. The Syrian Electronic Army published the truth about Syria on the hacked accounts.”
